In this 1948 musical comedy/mystery directed by Michael Curtiz, a socialite (Janis Paige) suspects her husband (Don DeFore) is cheating on her and hires a nightclub singer (Doris Day in her film debut) to pose as her on a cruise so she can stay home and spy on him. Meanwhile, her husband hires a detective (Jack Carson) to spy on her at sea, not realizing she has sent another woman in her stead.
