No. 2 Michigan outlasts Penn State in overtime

The Michigan Wolverines are headed to the Frozen Four after a 2-1 overtime win over Penn State in the Midwest Regional final on Sunday.

Michigan’s Mackie Samoskevich scored the game-winner just 52 seconds into overtime. Goalie Erik Portillo had 31 saves in the win.

Michigan will face off with Quinnipiac at the Frozen Four in Tampa on Thursday.

Quinnipiac advances to third Frozen Four

Four different players scored a goal to lead Quinnipiac to a 4-1 victory over Ohio State in the NCAA Bridgeport Regional final on Sunday at Total Mortgage Bank Arena.

With the victory, Quinnipiac advances to the Frozen Four for the third time in program history and first time since the 2015-16 season.

Skyler Brind’Amour, Christophe Fillion, Jayden Lee and Cristophe Telier added a goal each.
