Denver-based Frontier Airlines is aiming for the stars as it announced its extension into Hollywood Burbank Airport on Thursday.

The airline will begin nonstop service from the Southern California airport on July 15 to three large southwest destinations: Denver, Las Vegas and Phoenix.

“Frontier offers a robust flight schedule in Southern California and the addition of Burbank will provide an even more convenient and easy to use option to many in the region seeking affordable fares and friendly service to a variety of popular destinations,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operational design at Frontier.

Service from Denver International Airport to Burbank will be offered daily, according to Frontier’s website.

The airline is also incentivizing customers to take advantage of its newest location by offering “introductory fares” as low at $19.

The fares are only available for flights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, according to the release.

“We are pleased to see Frontier continue to expand from Denver,” DIA spokeswoman Emily Williams said. “The Los Angeles area ranks as Denver’s largest domestic market, and these new flights will provide an additional option as travelers continue to return to the skies.”

“We welcome Frontier Airlines and the services they’re launching at (Burbank) just as leisure travel starts to ramp up again,” said Frank Miller, executive director of Hollywood Burbank Airport. “Our customers now have more choices, adding to the convince of Hollywood Burbank Airport.”
